It's good to be back! But that leaves the question, "Why did ATA go away?" A lot has happened in the past year and a half, so we'll sum everthing up.
Henry was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He required a surgical procedure followed by months of radiation therapy. Henry hung in there, and fortunately the tumor responded well to the treatments. We are thrilled to tell you that Henry is 100% recovered!
While recovering, Henry decided he didn’t want to waste any more time. He had a few songs written prior to his diagnosis and, in retrospect, there was no time like the present! So Henry and Rich went down to Austin where they sought the expertise of Chris “Frenchie” Smith, a Grammy-nominated producer whose discography includes many great bands including Jet and Toadies. As soon as the EP was tracked, mixed, and played back, there were a lot of smiles in the room. From that moment Henry and Rich decided it was time to reform the group.
After a few months of looking Matt and Barry entered the picture. The roster was complete and the band ready to rock!
That catches us up to the present. We want to thank everyone who encouraged us during the difficult times and we are looking forward to the future! We hope you enjoy our music. We are Always The Alibi... and we will always be your alibi!
